Community Action Alert: Get Involved Now!

We need your help! Although there is overwhelming support for the trail, there is a vocal minority opposed to the trail that are making their voices heard.

Unless our elected officials, and/or local and state leaders hear from individuals and adjacent landowners in favor of the trail, we will risk loosing the trail as the railroad will likely attempt to sell the corridor to a utility company. This would be a huge loss for the communities adjacent to the proposed trail and an even greater loss to neighboring land owners.

Here are the 3 steps you can take to do your part so the corridor is rail banked for future trail use!

1. Write or e-mail the below State officials, explaining why you support the conversion of the Buffalo-Pittsburgh rail line into a multi-use trail. While e-mail is sufficient, sometimes a printed letter sent via U.S. Mail will stand out. You can view a sample letter by clicking here.

2. Write or e-mail the below local officials, explaining why you support the conversion of the Buffalo-Pittsburgh rail line into a multi-use trail. While e-mail is sufficient, sometimes a printed letter sent via U.S. Mail will stand out. You can view a sample letter by clicking here.

3. Tell your friends and neighbors to visit this website to learn more about the trail and ask them to show their support by writing as well.
